    Commemorating the diversity and similarities of our two great nations.

    Sharing the longest peaceful border in the world, Canada and the United States were born of entrepreneurs and colonists. Although the first colonists were mostly English, both nations have been enriched by immigrants from around the world. While individual issues have, and will, divide us, we share a love of freedom, a respect for diversity, and a desire for peace. The date selected for this celebration is a compromise between Canada Day [July 1st] and US Independence Day [July 4th]. Posts anywhere in the four-day period would be appropriate. Please help celebrate the special relationship between the US and Canada!
