Free from what?
While it is quite a militant title, I would suggest to steer the event to a "freedom of expression".
I don't want to free Iran from anything. But we should support anyone who wants to speak up for their opinion without the fear of arrest or worse.
Can I suggest to use FreeIran, with "Free" not as a verb but an adjective? Free Iran as "a Free Iran = where everyone can speak up and express their opinion"...

you are all wrong:
1. some iranian people want to integrate the global villager society and destroy the very foundation of islam whom they thinks didn't give them freedom, and in turn get destroyed like the nonmuslim always in crisis like moussavi.
2. the rest is tryin to alter islamic codes just for their own selfish benefits, gainin power to control, getttin famous while in turn pushin away muslim from practicin islam freely in iran like ahmedinajad.
as you hav seen, the problem is democracy has divided iran , only islam can bring it back...

Mihaela: everyone everywhere should enjoy the right to express their opinion. No matter what their religion is.
The protest started when people protested against alleged election rigging. The government's reaction was violent and repressive.
"democracy has divided Iran"? Hmmmm....

I want to share my Idea,
Democracy means the majority is the winner. Whatever the idea, good or bad, the major is the right. That is the risk of democracy. Like in Iran that once united after the fall of the shah. Now they are two main idea = Ahmadinejad and Mousavi.
And why these bloody events occurs. It's very simple. The cause is that Moussavi who is not the winner protest the election result. Protesting is fine, but protest with anger and making the other (pro's) anger too, that's the problem. You see the police is made to create order. And where there is chaos they will act. Sometimes they too much, resulting deaths.
Why? why this thing should happen. If everyone just calm down, and protest with peace and make efforts by law. Then there will be no deaths. If they still lost, then because we are all humans, we can be patient.

@oktoman: I agree. Violence from either side is not acceptable.
I think in the case of Iran, it all could have been avoided if the elections would have been more transparent. Even if the people could only choose between 'the best of two evils'... Mousavi does not exactly have a clean record himself...
The scenario is a typical one. Violence created violence. And the repression just got even more repressive...

Yes, i think what we should promote to save every nation, is to promote global action to make every country more transparent in the election process. And of course to make the result more credible, there should be a watcher (UN). But the watcher only watch, not interfere the process. If the result is not transparent, or unfair, they should talk with peace and patient of course. In the end, the people of the country who will rate it, because the feel it.
The people should free to know what is exactly happening.
