সারাবিশ্বজুড়ে, দারিদ্র্যে নিপতিত মানুষেরা মর্যাদার দাবি জানাচ্ছেন৷ তারা অবিচার ও বিচ্ছিন্নতার অবসান চান যা তাদেরকে বঞ্চনার ফাঁদে আটকে রাখে৷ তারা সেই সব সিদ্ধান্তের ওপর নিয়ন্ত্রণ পেতে চান যেগুলো তাদের জীবনকে প্রভাবিত করে৷
তারা চান তাদের অধিকারকে সম্মান করা হোক এবং তাদের মতামতকে মূল্যায়ন করা হোক৷ এখনই তাদের সাথে যোগ দিন৷ অ্যামনেস্টি ইন্টারন্যাশনালের নতুন প্রচারাভিযানে আপনার কন্ঠ মেলান৷
যখন দারিদ্র্যে নিপতিত মানুষেরা তাদের অভিজ্ঞতা নিয়ে কথা বলেন, তারা শুধু বঞ্চনা নিয়েই কথা বলেন না - যদিও আসলে এটাই মূল বিষয়৷ তাদের ছেলেমেয়েদেরকে স্কুলে পাঠাতে পারেন কিনা, এবং সেই স্কুলটি, তাদের বাড়ি-ঘরের সাথে সাথে, পরদিন সকালে বুলডোজার দিয়ে মাটির সাথে মিশিয়ে দেয়া হবে কিনা সেই সম্পর্কেও তারা কথা বলেন৷
তারা কথা বলেন সহিংসতার ভয়ের মধ্যে বাস করা সম্পর্কে, তাদের প্রতি অপরাধীদের মত আচরণ করা সম্পর্কে, ‘মূলধারার’ সমাজ হিসেবে যাকে বিবেচনা করা হয় শুধু তা থেকেই বাইরে রাখা নয় বরং সেইসাথে তাদের পক্ষে যে সব সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়া হয় সেগুলো নিয়ে তাদের কথা না শোনা সম্পর্কে৷
তারা কথা বলেন বিধিবহির্ভূতভাবে আটক হওয়া সম্পর্কে, তাদের পায়ের নিচ থেকে সম্পদ আহরনের জন্য কোনো বহুজাতিক কর্পোরেশনের খেয়ালি সিদ্ধান্তে তাদের অপ্রতুল জীবিকা হারানো সম্পর্কে, প্রান্তিক হয়ে যাওয়া সম্পর্কে, ন্যায়বিচারের কোনো সুযোগ না পাওয়া সম্পর্কে৷ তারা সেই সব অভিজ্ঞতা সম্পর্কে কথা বলেন যেগুলো তাদের জীবনকে রূপদান করেঃ বঞ্চনা, নিরাপত্তাহীনতা, বিচ্ছিন্নতা, এবং মতামত প্রকাশের ক্ষমতা না থাকার অভিজ্ঞতা৷
আগামী কয়েক বছর, অ্যামনেস্টি ইন্টারন্যাশনাল দারিদ্র্যের মধ্যে বসবাসকারী ব্যক্তি ও সমাজের সাথে কাজ করবে এটা নিশ্চিত করার জন্য যে, যখন তারা তাদের অভিজ্ঞতা নিয়ে কথা বলবেন, সরকার শুনবে৷ কিন্তু এটা করার জন্য, আমাদের প্রয়োজন হবে আপনাদের সমর্থন, আপনাদের মতামত এবং আপনাদের কন্ঠ৷
মর্যাদার দাবি প্রচারাভিযানটি এগিয়ে চলছে এবং এর জন্য আপনার সমর্থন প্রয়োজন৷ আমাদেরকে এই বাণীটি প্রচারে সাহায্য করুনঃ মানবাধিকারের অপব্যবহার দারিদ্র্যের কারণ ঘটায় এবং একে চিরস্থায়ী করে৷ যারা দারিদ্র্যের মধ্যে বাস করছেন তারা তাদের অধিকারের দাবি জানানোর সময় সরকার যাতে তাদের কথা শোনে তা নিশ্চিত করার জন্য আপনার কণ্ঠ মেলান, আপনার মতামত জানান, এবং অ্যামনেস্টি ইন্টারন্যাশনালের সাথে যোগ দিন৷
এই প্রচারাভিযানের বিষয়গুলো সম্পর্কে আরো জানতে www.demanddignity.org ওয়েবসাইটে যান৷ এটা আপনার মঞ্চঃ আপনার মতামত জানান, অন্যদের মতামত শুনুন এবং সিদ্ধান্তগ্রহণকারীদেরকে প্রভাবিত করুন৷
আপনার কন্ঠ মেলানোর মাধ্যমে মর্যাদা’র অর্থ আপনার কাছে কী তা আমাদেরকে জানান৷ প্রতিটি নতুন কন্ঠ যুক্ত হওয়ার সাথে সাথে মর্যাদার জন্য আমাদের সম্মিলিত দাবি আরো জোরে ও স্পষ্টভাবে শোনা যাবে৷
