International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, kicks off 16 Days of Activism to End Vioence Against Women.
November 25 marks the UN's International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The event kicks off activities by a number of organizations under a program called 16 Days of Activism, spearheaded through Rutger University's Center for Women's Global Leadership. With a global view, each day this program raises awareness on different social justice issues affecting women around the world, including sexual violence, domestic abuse, sexual harrassment, human trafficking, forced sterilization, kidnapping and exploitation. On November 25 (through December 10), join us in raising awareness on the abuse of and human rights injustices committed against our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and global neighbors.
