Thank you to everyone who took time tell others about the Mother's Day Wall Against Hunger! And everyone, who took it a step further and placed a card on the wall.

We managed to raise a resounding $15 200, that goes to helping a mother feed her child through the World Food Programmes School Meals.

You can find out more here: www.wfp.org/school-meals

The Wall remains up during the rest of the year, and if you'd like to continue blogging about hunger issues there will be regularly updated content on the Bloggers Against Hunger page: www.wfp.org/bloggers-against-hunger

One more day!

Only a day to go till Mother's Day, and we've already raised $9 900 through the Wall Against Hunger: wall.wfp.org

Mother's in developing nations are often last to eat, saving their food for their children. Over 60% of chronically hungry people in the world – around 580 million people – are women!

All the donation go to helping mother's in developing nations feed and educate their children, through the UN World Food Programme's School Meals project!

Thanks so very much to everyone who's participated! The response has been so encouraging!

(There's one more day, it not too late to tell your neighbor, friends and anyone else.)

Many thanks to everyone who's blogged and tweeted and talked about the event! We're almost at Mother's Day and the support has been phenomenal.

While the amount raised will help a great many people, the amount awareness raised of hunger and women in developing nations will have long lasting benefits!

Keep it going! Thank you!

Thanks so much to everyone who's been tweeting about this event and telling others!

We recently added a video from the actress Rachel Weisz, talking about the inheritance of hunger, which is definitely worth a peek.

Mothers in developing nations are often last to eat, despite producing most of the food! This Mother's Day let's help a mom feed her child.

Word of mouth can be a powerful tool in the fight against hunger! Telling people about the daily life faced by mothers in developing nations not only raises awareness but gives others the opportunity to change the status quo. To talk about the issue, you can find information here: http://www.wfp.org/bloggers-against-hunger Instead of giving a traditional Hallmark card, it would be great if they could add an ecard to the Wall Against Hunger: http://wall.wfp.org It allows you to share you message with the world, as well as helping a mother feed her child.
