Spirit Jump Cards For Cancer Day Comments

How to Better Use Spare/Idle Time
Hi Everyone!
I joined this team some few days ago in view of my passion
to help people in need particularly those stricken with dreadful illnesses.
I posted a brief write up in my site: www.myusefultips.com
on how I can be of help to the advocacy of the group.
Please advise on whether or not I am in the right track.
Thank you and good day!

Friends from around the country.
We are a group of 25+ from all over the states, all different ages, all different interests, but we decided this was a cause we could all work on together. We are members of the Dog Channel. Some of us have been on for several years, some a few months. Many have had the chance to meet others. Many have had cancer affect their lives in some way.
One of our members, Diane, from TX, found out about this and , as I am a survivor of cancer, asked if I would be team leader. I was honoured.
I will be delivering cards on Friday, April 9. I ahve revieved many boxes and envelopes with card of all shape, sizes, homemade, storemade, kid made, adultmade and manmade!!
Best of all, I have been given the responsibility of taking the cards to Mercy Medical Center here in Baltimore.

Excited in indiana
I am excited to join this event. I lost my best friend/father to lymphoma. My dad loved to be surrounded by positive attitude throughout his battle. I already have 200 cards made and my personal goal is 300 before 4-9 . I am donating to 2 locations in indianapolis.

How can I get the logo to put on my website??
Can someone tell me how to get the Cards for Cancer logo for my blog?

Awesome....
Thank you for doing this Team Smiles 4 Miles from Connecticut has made over 250 cards already. People seem to be really into this. Such a great idea. :-)

Currently Fighting
I was diagnosed on Nov. 20th with cervical cancer. I was lucky enough to have been diagnosed so early! When I first saw this, I was like, I could do this! Now it's a priority for me! The past 7 weeks of chemo and radiation was such an eye opener for me! SO many people having to do this once a week for the rest of their lives! I have made some wonderful friends in 7 weeks. Amazing how this changes your ENTIRE life and how you look at the world! It really opens your eyes and you become so UNSELFISH! I have a chance to have it better then most! And I feel I want and NEED to give back to those that need it most! Thank you to the person who started this! I look forward to being with this project for years to come! I have lost alot of family to cancer and I have alot of family that has since been diagnosed since me! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to those who continue to help us fight this fight!

Spreading the Word
This is such an awesome project. I have been talking about it for the last couple of days to anyone who will listen to me. I have gotten committments from several who will be helping to prepare the cards.

Wow
I have told several people about this event and they all want to participate. I think this is an awesome idea and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a participant in the event. I look forward to hearing how other participants progress throughout the next few weeks.
Kindly,

What a great thought...
Thank you for organizing this. As a person who spent a month in the hospital, I know how important cards are for the sole.
I signed up as a team leader and will be making/collecting and delivering in Connecticut
Our team name is Smiles 4 Miles.
The 11 year old son of a friend thought of the name after it was explained to him what the purpose of Cards4Cancer was. He made the connection that this is something that is being doing all over. LIke he said across many miles we will be helping people smile, even if it is for a short period of time..
Thank you again... Lets get more people involved.
Keep Faith Alive

Spirit Jump Cards For Cancer Day
Our purpose is to bring hope and comfort to the many men, women and children battling cancer!
On Saturday April 10th, 2010 Spirit Jump and the team leaders around the world will bring bags of cards to their local cancer centers to be given to those battling cancer. Cards can be collected by asking family members, friends, neighbors, schools, youth groups or just about anyway you can think of getting them. Cards can be handmade or store bought and should have a positive message to help JUMP the SPIRIT of someone who is battling cancer.

SO Excited!!!

I had a card making party with family last night and we are SO Excited to deliver these cards (along with so many others we have collected) to the brave and deserving patients at the cancer treatment center in our city. What a great cause.
I have blogged about this throughout the year (since I signed up) and will continue to do so as I intend to deliver cards at different time of the year.
