I would like to join
Poverty, hunger, crime. They are all related.
But whats disturbing is,what should accompany bread, flour and canned goods is the power that can take them out of their misery: education-skills.
Until now, for as long as I can remember, year after year, African nations become victims of hunger because of drought etc. Very little has been done to help these nations learn skills that will take them away from the pangs of hunger and death from hunger.
Unite for Hunger and Hope through Education should be a better campaign. We should be sending volunteer teachers to enable them to use whatever resources they have to feed themselves and their family

Hunger Can Be Overwhelming

Widget duly posted. Hunger hurts. A wise man once told me: "money doesn't buy happiness, but it sure does take away the pain of poverty." And in the words of our new president here in the USA: Let us all posses and encourage "The audacity of hope."
FAST AND PRAY
On April 29th I will fast and pray to unite for hunger and hope.
To understand hunger, we who have, should fast. To end hunger we should give and pray.
Only Vegetarian Food On This Day
As a Buddhist in Johor, Malaysia, I will consume only vegetarian food on this day, so as to give my moral support on the event of Unite For Hunger And Hope. I do agree that the riches get richer by day, while the poor gets poorer by day at the same time. So I would strongly emphasize on the vegetarian food to reduce slaughter, crime and sin for not killing animals etc, also, to urge people to help those poor human at the other side of the world. I will also post a similar topic in my Best Buy And Idea Blog to help to spread the awareness around. And not to forget, to pray to my Buddha to contribute our love and care to these unfortunate humans. Amitabha.
HUNGER AND HOPE
Simple word " Hunger and Hope", but how much head in this Planet ever think about each other, how many people have a heart to care each other?
can we are imagine 1 head for 1 cent for hunger
can we are imagine if no war machine but replace for food and scholarship
one bullet for food
we must change the world, to give biggest hope

Every day that I put food in my mouth I'm reminded of those who do without as I have done in my past. The resources our planet provides is more than enough to keep us all very well fed.
No one should do without and it saddens me to see how our governments manipulate and distort media's information to convince us when, where and how much food there is available...and of course at what cost! Those that have more income than many of us put together need to re-think who they are and wake up to the pain and suffering they could end by sharing some of their wealth. My income is meager and although I make do with what I have.....I am happy. I am appealing to those who do have more than you need to get involved and do what you can to eradicate the suffering and help to put healthy food in the tummies of those that are starving to death!
FASTING FOR THIS EVENT
on this day I will fast 24 hours while voluteering & participating in helping to fight hunger from with in my community or city.
No child of GOD young or old should suffer of L.O.F.
PLEASE...share your time & efforts and pass on the word to STUMP OUT HUNGER !!!
