I've always given blood and feel passionate about everyone donating whenever possible. Taking 30 or so minutes out of my schedule to save a life, doesn't seem like a big sacrifice. I'm thankful I have good veins.

giving blood does save peoples lives! i would love to donate blood but i cant because a year ago i needed a blood transfusion and if someone that had my blood type did not donate i would be dead and i am so thankful for that person who did donate and my daughter who is 1 month old born premature had 3 blood transfusions so far and all 3 of them saved her life. everyone who does donate blood you are all angels.

It just takes a few minutes to save someones life. By visiting The Blood Center website or by going to the Redcross website you will find a location near you. Do not make excuses and remember those who are depending in your help.

I lived in London during the 1980s and the last time I went to donate blood I wasn't able to since they said I lived in England during the time of Mad Cow Disease. Does this mean no one in the UK can donate blood? Is there a way for me to get screened so that I can donate blood again?
