Objective:
To raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment.

Cancer is a leading cause of death around the world. WHO estimates that 84 million people will die of cancer between 2005 and 2015 without intervention.

Each year on 4 February, the World Health Organization supports the International Union Against Cancer to promote ways to ease the global burden of cancer. Preventing cancer and raising quality of life for cancer patients are recurring themes.

Help out by writing a blog post on February 4th about how cancer has effected yourself or someone in your life, ways you try to prevent it, or any other way you want to help raise awareness of this deadly disease.
