International World Water Day is held annually on 22 March with the outcome of focusing attention on the vital importance of freshwater and to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.

Children aren't the only ones affected by the worldwide water crises.

World Water Day 2013, March 22, draws specific attention to the fact that millions of people go without clean water each day, and billions don't have a toilet.

There are plenty of ways to get involved -- pay an extra $1 for that free glass of water at the beginning of a restaurant meal and support programs that help kids in need.
