Getting Involved
Getting involved makes a big difference in bringing the public's attention to those struggling with this disease.

Glad I contributed to this event
Last year I missed blogging for this event. Today, I joined with millions around the globe and I feel glad I participated. I donate and I pray for those whose lives have been invaded by this horrid disease. May blessings and restored health be theirs.

for my post for Brown Bag Project over at half Hour Meals. Later today, I will upload the photograph on my blog, skdd.wordpress.com

I am getting excited about packing my brown bag!
There is something so defining about the feeling I experience when I am gifting, sharing, caring for anyone or anything more than myself. Being selfless isn't always easy, but it is always rewarding. I find when I stop thinking about myself, what am I going to do today, or what movie am I going to watch, or what will I cook tonight, it is refreshing to think about other matters, others ... period.
We live in such a bountiful world which confuses me. No one should be without the necessities of life. There really is plenty to go around. Yet, why is it being withheld from those who need it?
I will ponder these matters as I choose the contents of the brown bags I will lovingly pack and think about how my small gesture can positively affect the recipients. I hope I get to learn a beautiful lesson, one that I have never learned before. I will give up all my wishes for solutions and peace and fellowship, but in particular I am hoping that more people will contribute and learn the very act of giving is what makes us rich indeed.

Here is my input
