Hi, Tony, Don't forget to put a link to your post on the events page for the Homeless Persons' Memorial Day. I just came from Springfield's event, a sad affair...thanks again.
Today is the last day for the Stand Up Take Action Worldwide mobilization. If you have any (or any more) posts for Make NOISE to End Poverty Worldwide please get them in today so we can report them to the SUTA. Here is a LiveBinder link with all the posts so far http://bit.ly/9Lppj2 Monday UN MDG Summit.
Today September 18 is the main push for the Stand Up Take Action World Mobilization so if you have blog posts for Make NOISE to End Poverty Worldwide it would be great to get them up today!
Tomorrow 9/17 is the 1st day of the 3 day Stand Up End Poverty event http://bit.ly/cOjzoc to tell the World Governments meeting at the UN for the MDG Summit to keep their promise made a decade ago. Thank you for your posts. The best day for impact should be 9/18 but the day after will provide lots of material. I will try to approve posts ASAP but you will also be featured on my blog.
Thank you for your participation last year on November 17th for “Fight for Preemies.” We look forward to having you on board again this year. Thanks for all your support!
You know it would be a heck of a lot easier if at least event organizers could broadcast to their followers with BloggersUnite as you can with BlogCatalog.
A bit of serendipity. Stand Against Poverty who is overseeing the worldwide mobilization we are taking part in has made Meetup Events for all online and on street events. You can see it with this url http://bit.ly/atBAKq
I have changed the BloggerUnite Make NOISE site so it goes there. From there you can go to their Facebook site, Twitter site, main site and back to here. Because its geo-based it uses my hometown but this is a global online event. Do me a big favor and to to http://bit.ly/atBAKq and click on I'm interested.
Bloggers Unite to Make NOISE to End Poverty Worldwide is on the official Stand Up Take Action site mobilization map. More info under comments at the Bloggers Unite Make NOISE event site.
I want to make it clear that the Bloggers Unite to Make NOISE to End Poverty begins on September 17 with the Stand Up Take Action worldwide mobilization which continues to September 19. Beginning September 20 the United Nations is holding a summit on the Millennium Development Goals which goes to September 22. Personally, I will be doing blog posts throughout and following up.
I linked your blog to mine http://anewmillennium.blogspot.com/ Bloggers of Bloggers Unite to End Poverty Worldwide. I realize that this will make virtually no measurable difference (let's be real, actually no measurable difference) to your traffic but I did it anyway.
So I am painfully learning. I will leave the name alone from here on in. The link from my blog is working again. The erroneous links on Twitter, Diigo and delicious have been removed. However, i still have to wait for Stand Up Take Action of fix the link from their site to the BU Make Noise site. The link is the same updated one as everywhere else now but it does not work. i wrote them again.
My apologies to everyone, I have been struggling with the links between the Stand Up Take Action event site and the BU Make Noise site. I got the link from BU Make Noise to SUTA fixed but so far still waiting for SUTA to get their side fixed. I will let you know. Also our event is Sept 17. the reported event on Oct 17 is different very worthwhile but different.
You said that this event here
http://www.bloggersunite.org/event/international-day-in-memory-of-ssri-fatalities
doesn't exist.
It is impossible to find it at blogger's event but some people have badges that lead to this page.
What is this?
Thanks Tony for joining in. I'll be posting it again for Nov 13, 2010. Also am accepting nominations from people for the Kindness Hero Awards..

My personal efforts at providing resources are at my blog http://anewmillennium.blogspot.com/ and wiki experiment http://milestonestomdgs.pbworks.com/FrontPage
The most direct resource right now is this video from Stand Up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5HOvSpeN74 Also just started a Change.org petition www.change.org/petitions/view/make_noise_for_8_worldwide_promises_to_make_the_world_better_for_all?te=npe but I am looking for more from the bloggers here. I guess I am hoping that people will make an individual choice about which of the 8 goals to focus on. We have plenty of people writing on ending poverty or environmental justice.
Thanks for letting me know that the link from the Stand Up Site to the Bloggers Unite site did not work. Don't know why because it is the exact same link from my blog http://bit.ly/cKPyhI so I will have to write the SUTA people. Also updated the event Badge as well.
First, thanks so much for joining and the great advice. I will be going backward regarding the shoutouts you sent me. I did change the name to reflect End Poverty Worldwide since it is a global effort (had to keep something about the 8 MDGs) though I do agree it is very hard to get one's head around the whole thing. I suspect that is part of the reason that seemingly so few in developed countries especially the USA know about it. I also tightened up the event description getting rid baggage.
The Bloggers Unite Make NOISE for the Millennium Development Goals event is now officially part of the STAND UP 2010 | Stand Against Poverty Campaign http://t.co/RfYKr1z the event page is updated with the new url This is a major world event and your participation would greatly help in getting the word out. I am a part time non-professional blogger using this as a means of supporting causes and learning at the same time. Your web creds would certainly help this worthwhile project.
I have linked with all members of Make Noise for the Millennium Development Goals under my blog Milestones for a New Millennium at "Bloggers of BloggersUnite for the MDGs". If you have anything to say about ending poverty, educating our young, gender equity, child health, maternal health, ending AIDS, malaria, TB, environmental sustainability or global partnership please join and make your online voice heard in time for the United Nations summit on the MDGs in September.
Tony: I began to leave you a message, and we had a power surge for 1 minute or so. I added a comment in general, but I forgot what I meant to tell you. Sorry! Sweet tides, Linda
My latest post to the Make NOISE for the MDG event provides links to the UN informal interactive hearings with NGOs, Civil Society and the Private Sector. bit.ly/9R35Qj and linking to background on the policy initiatives.
We as bloggers have an opportunity to have a say about the 8 MDGs, 15 targets and 1,000,000 ideas out there to address these issues of alleviating poverty, education, women's rights, global health especially for maternity and children, protecting the environment, or fair trade and sustainable economic development and want a chance to address this issue when our world leaders are meeting you should be part of this event. Also please think about joining grou.ps/makenoiseformdgs

I am organizing another Bloggers Unite event in support of Stand Up End Poverty achieving the Millennium Development Goals and I hope that you will participate http://bit.ly/amapeN
The name of the event is Make Noise for the Millennium Development Goals
Sorry this post is quite late, but Here is is for Animals Rights. I got side-tracked by life. http://wp.me/p4C6Y-Vx I did not see the event for this anymore, but wanted you to know that I did finally take a stand. Hope you are well.
Monday is Homeless Memorial Day. More that 3,000 people died this year without a home to call their own. Thank you so much for taking time to include the homeless in your work.
