Tricia

I am 32 years old and have fibromyalgia, here is my short story;

More than 15 years after my symptoms started, they quickly began to become progressively worse. I found a Doctor who finally believed me and sent me to two different specialists to find out what was wrong. I was first diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome in February 2009. My Doctor still thought that something else was going on inside my body. He then referred me to four other specialists. On May 29, 2009 a Rheumatologist diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia and Temporomandibular Joint Disorder. Then on June 9, 2009 I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

I met all these diagnosis with fear and anxiety, but mostly relief. Relief, to finally be able to understand why I feel like I do and why all these weird things are wrong with me. I am most thankful that my Fiancé Paul always supported me, my parents for always loving me and finding the Doctor who finally believed me.
