Soon to be 38 (May baby). Single mother of 3 kids. 19yr.old boy, 13yr.old girl and 9yr.old boy. I recently became separated from my 15 yr marriage. (divorce forthcoming) Uterine cancer survivor. (total radical abdominal hysterectomy on March 12, 2009) 1 time breast cancer survivor. (diagnosed on May 2, 2008 = which was the worst birthday ever! I was very blessed, however-no treatments!) I recently had another "lump" removed. (bout a week ago. still waiting for results) Also currently dealing with Infiltrative Basal Cell Carcinoma. I was recently diagnosed with Lupus. (SLE, the bad one-but thank God for an answer to that medical mystery!) So I'm a medical mess, a social mess(divorce always=losing a few "friends", but life is still great! I am a poet,writer,lyracist & painter.(modern) I support any/every cause that affects ALL of my fellow humans & ALL of God's creatures.

“The Battle” In the morning I will cry. Every morning I will cry. Through my tears and screams of anger, all fear and sadness will be purged. All uncertainty and anxiety will be released from by being. What good that remains will be set aside, for the moment. I must prepare myself for battle.

March 21, 2010 Maya Angelou - My Favorite Poet
My favorite poet of all time would have to be Maya Angelou. Not so much or as much when I read her words, but when I hear her speak them herself. It's almost like real classy slam poetry. It's so much easier to "feel" the meaning of her poetry, when I hear the emotion in her voice as she recites it.
