Chi

I am an American blogger. Human being. Monolingual, but working on it. In a long-term relationship older than the average kindergartner. A paradoxical combination of introvert and extrovert tendencies - a sociable loner. Self-critical and responsible. An artsy closet techie with a flower child aura who drums, prefers cold weather, and reads voraciously. Eats slowly, and barely sleeps. Externally calm, inwardly anxious. An aspiring writer with a block the size of Sisyphus's rock (see: cheesy humor and bad poetry). A billiards shark, who will take your money, then beat you in air hockey AND Tetris. Early college grad with a double major in philosophy and psychology. Current graduate student. Painfully altruistic and existential. Frugal and soft-spoken. Allergic to odd things. Naturally converses in a rapid stream of consciousness that is often difficult to follow.

Hi there! Glad to find fellow literacy advocates! In honor of International Literacy Day, I hope you will consider writing a post about my Books For Cameroon project that will bring 30 bilingual libraries to West Africa and/or make a small ($5) contribution to make the project a reality!
