My name is Danielle C. McManus. I am currently residing in New York where I work as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer in the fields of advertising, publishing, package design and editorial. As a designer and illustrator I enjoy every aspect of what I get to do, be an artist that solves problems, and communicates to a diverse audience. I enjoy using a wide variety of media in my illustrations and designs, such as watercolor, pen and ink, crayon, drawing, computer graphics, and oil paint. Some of my clients include Lam Design, and New York Social Diary. I am a graduate of Parsons School of Design, and am continuing my studies with Veronica Lawlor and Margaret Hurst at the Dalvero Academy. In 2007, I co-founded an illustration and design studio called The 1104 Studio with two fellow illustrators. Currently, we are involved in the process of producing original self promotions, advertising campaigns, stationary, and website designs.

December 1, 2009 World Aids Day
December 1st is World Aids Day. I decided to create a poster and a few thumbnails for it. It is a global disease that does not discriminate. Prevention and education are important components to stop the spread. Be safe. I hope one day their will be a cure.-Danielle http://aloveofdrawing.blogspot.
