It's that time of the year, so I'm sending you a reminder that Sepember 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day. I value you as a member and look forward to your posts.
Hi, Don't forget to put a link to your post on the events page for the Homeless Persons' Memorial Day. I just came from Springfield's event, a sad affair...thanks again. (If you don't get to it today, there's always tomorrow!)
I tried to write you sooner but the real life/day job is creating a lot of pressure. This is actually a way of relaxing and doing something purposeful at the same time. I won't be trying to organize anymore events as an individual the return on effort just does not work for one's self or the cause. Sorry I missed your event I am trying to get back in for the events coming up.
Don't worry about the post if you have not done it already just take care of yourself. The world's problems won't end anytime soon so there will be opportunities to use your online voice.
Today is the last day for the Stand Up Take Action Worldwide mobilization. If you have any (or any more) posts for Make NOISE to End Poverty Worldwide please get them in today so we can report them to the SUTA. Here is a LiveBinder link with all the posts so far http://bit.ly/9Lppj2 Monday UN MDG Summit.
Today September 18 is the main push for the Stand Up Take Action World Mobilization so if you have blog posts for Make NOISE to End Poverty Worldwide it would be great to get them up today!
Tomorrow 9/17 is the 1st day of the 3 day Stand Up End Poverty event http://bit.ly/cOjzoc to tell the World Governments meeting at the UN for the MDG Summit to keep their promise made a decade ago. Thank you for your posts. The best day for impact should be 9/18 but the day after will provide lots of material. I will try to approve posts ASAP but you will also be featured on my blog.
Thank you for your participation last year on November 17th for “Fight for Preemies.” We look forward to having you on board again this year. Thanks for all your support!
A bit of serendipity. Stand Against Poverty who is overseeing the worldwide mobilization we are taking part in has made Meetup Events for all online and on street events. You can see it with this url http://bit.ly/atBAKq
Thank you for blogging last yr for Invisible Illness Week! I hope you will join us again, posting a blog any time between now and 9/19/10. Invisible Illness Week is 9/13-19. To be a part of this year's "blogging for a cause" just go to: http://ow.ly/2AEbe Our web site at http://invisibleillnessweek.com also has a Meme, a virtual conference next wk, and a free 80-page ebook we wrote just for you! I want to make it clear that the Bloggers Unite to Make NOISE to End Poverty begins on September 17 with the Stand Up Take Action worldwide mobilization which continues to September 19. Beginning September 20 the United Nations is holding a summit on the Millennium Development Goals which goes to September 22. Personally, I will be doing blog posts throughout and following up.
My apologies to everyone, I have been struggling with the links between the Stand Up Take Action event site and the BU Make Noise site. I got the link from BU Make Noise to SUTA fixed but so far still waiting for SUTA to get their side fixed. I will let you know. Also our event is Sept 17. the reported event on Oct 17 is different very worthwhile but different.
We are approaching World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10.

It should be bigger and better this year.
IASP is on Facebook and twitter.
There are resources on the board including banners for you to use.
And don't forget to share this event on Facebook, twitter etc.

Please contribute any articles on the MDGs MyUseFulTips did http://bit.ly/dhYjlg you don't have to wait until September. How is support for the MDGs shaping up in Britain? (assuming you are there) You can also join a MDG Grou.ps http://bit.ly/dj85fE Thanks
The IASP has posted some information for us to use in this year's World Suicide Prevention Day Event on September 10.
Feel free to check out the post:

My latest post at Make NOISE for the MDGs event provides links to the UN informal hearings on informal interactive hearings with NGOs, Civil Society and the Private Sector. This is the bitly link http://bit.ly/9R35Qj It is also near the top of the event's post list at least as of now. The post links to a good deal of background on the policy initiatives. Please also think about joining http://grou.ps/makenoiseformdgs
I just rewrote the event objective and description for Make Noise for the Millennium Development Goals hopefully giving people a better idea of what the event is about. Anyone blogging on 1. Ending Hunger 2. Providing Universal Education 3. Establishing Gender Equity 4. Ensuring Global Child Health 5. Ensuring Global Maternal Health 6. Combating and eradicating HIV/AIDS and other diseases 7. Establishing Environmental Sustainability or 8. Working Towards Global Partnership should join.
Seems that there were problems with some of the links I gave for the Make NOISE for the MDGs on Grou.ps and other related pages. This time I will avoid bitly types.

Just wanted you to know that out of 196 posts between 2007 and now, the post I did for Blogging About Hardship to Ease has become my 6th most popular blog post according to clicks on Feedburner. It is still a small number 35 but we are grading on a curve here and it gained on a number of strong contenders.
A link to Suicide Prevention Day is on my websites and blogs, so your posts can be viewed by visitors there.
Please do the same on your sites for even more views. here is the link to our event:
http://www.bloggersunite.org/event/world-suicide-prevention-day.
You may submit another post at any time on suicide or sucide prevention.
I have submitted our numbers to the Stand Up End Poverty folks to be included in the count for the Guinness World Record. 6 of us actually participated.
Love the post. Learned a new word mashallah (sh sound?) You are near Greenwich time wise so right now it should be about nearly 2 pm on Sunday 18 August. I am at about 7 am Sunday. So I will have to submit our numbers before 5 pm or 4 to be safe. Anybody who did not submit a blog post for this effort can still click on the Stand Up Now button at my blog http://anewmillennium.blogspot.com/ or http://standagainstpoverty.org/ and be counted.

Welcome to World Heart Day, The theme this year is 'Workplace wellness'
I am looking forward to your post on workplace wellness or topics related to heart disease
Hello, I did two posts for HARDSHIP2EASE DAY which will appear 9/23/09 at midnight my time which should be about 8 am your time. I learned something so thanks for the opportunity.
Hi Hal786, the one with the least number of participants so far, at least for BloggerUnite, Stand Up and Take Action against poverty. I had a feeling that I might get lost in the crowd when I saw how many you were backing. Truth is my particular event is only one path, there are plenty of worthwhile causes out there to learn about and support not only on poverty, but environmental issues, global health, etc http://anewmillennium.blogspot.com/
