share the living Word
In our era of easy access to overwhelming information and massive output of knowledge, it is amazing how much we can do to share about God and how great His love is for all the peoples of the world.
A friend of mine shared to me: "Our minds gather the dirt and dust of human opinion everyday but God's words are like waterfalls that wash and purify our hearts and minds."
Don't just spread the word.. share the Living Word!

Be the change
It will be my first time to vote in the upcoming national elections.
I want to be counted.
This site was shared to me by my friends from a conference I attended in 2008. I hope you'll find it helpful. Let us initiate change.

Improvement
The theme for this year's World Health Day is indeed a crucial one. The safety of health facilities and readiness of health workers truly play a huge part in the uplifting people's health overall. I have experienced being rushed to the emergency room and looking back, I am happy to say that the hospitals I've been to so far satisfactorily meets the standards for facilities and protocols in hospitals where I live.
But I also remember this: 'The biggest room in the world is the room for improvement'.

For the kids
It's absolutely wonderful that World Autism Awareness Day was established. I am a BS Psychology graduate and will be pursuing work with children with disabilities. I am thankful that many efforts are now being done in order to inform people of the seriousness of the matter. The children are the future; thus, knowing and addressing the concern of kids with autism is certainly a big leap in making sure that every child is loved, every child is cherished and every child is developed to be the best they can be.

Vote Earth
I've added a huge banner about Earth Hour, which I found through this site: www.voteearth2009.org/home/
I joined last year's Earth Hour and that one hour was time well spent not only for the planet but for me and my mom. We spent the hour talking in the living in the dark.. It was really a memorable time for me, sharing my thoughts with her about what is happening today in all aspects of life and society, especially pressing matters such as environmental issues.
"Treat the Earth well. It was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children. We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, we borrow it from our Children."
