Not a Happy Story
Because of problems with doctors that don't have a clue, they are forcing me into a wheelchair. So there may be lots of bitching about the Modern Deities, or as I refer to them, Hounds from Hell. I've just started a new blog thepaingame.org, the Diary of Puppet Legs, and I'll try to direct it to more positive reflections. My mentor in my Master's Program was disabled, and I took all of his classes. He let me teach the computer portion of statistics; that course was his baby and he gave me some great gifts. As far as empowering someone like me, well, I certainly won't get that from the medical community.

I find the disappearance of bees very disturbing. Any suggestions about articles I can read on this subject? I plan to post something on my blog. I'm also going to introduce my own topic--chronic pain patients, the disabled--so I'd also like to see what you've done from beginning to end. Beautiful badge!
Diagnoses Change with the Weather: If you don't like it, wait 5 minutes.
In spite of being attacked, my head fractured from the repeated slamming on the side walk, and my neck herniated, end stage OA which requires both knees to replace (be careful lifting weights!) I've seen a new pain specialist, and after adding spinal arthritis, etc., I have Fibromyalgia, the so called "fake disease." I also have signs of MS, and NOW they are taking Fibro seriously. Recently released report on neurological symptoms. The study was so small, and in the end, not helpful at all.
So I'm a wreck and my computer is 3 ft. from my bed. Waiting for med doses to go up. Believe me, next time, I'll have a lot to contribute, either way.
If you are still mobile, keep doin' it. Attitude is half the battle, and if you have a doctor that won't help, or treats you like a dog, find another one! Do not give up!
HR756. The Pain Relief Act. will pass. Voice vote in the House, and 100 votes in the Senate. The goal is to write and carry out a study as to the best way to educate doctors, so that they don't fear law enforcement agencies taking their licenses.

I wrote a post about the little oil-soaked egret; I really felt like he was mine. But by the badge created, I see he belongs to all of us.
C.P.Snow, My favorite Sinologist said, "When you think of the long and gloomy history of man, you will find more hideous crimes have been committed in the name of obedience than have ever been committed in the name of rebellion."
So sign the petition, please. I dream about that egret. I have nightmares that all of our oceans turn into oil, and that two months ago will be the day in history that we could never come back from.
