Shirley Warner

I am actually a self-taught designer of one-of-a-kind jewelry, but am always willing to be involved in a worthy cause. I believe in volunteerism and mentoring...anything that will help make another person's life better. I try to limit the amount of negativity that I take in, as it negative things that sometimes shapes our thoughts and actions. I am a seeker of positive things. there is so much negativity in the media and such that I have to find a postive and optimistic "center". In my spare time I love to read and favor biography, as I am intrigued by people. I also love to travel. traveling opens the mind and is a way of learning new things.

Monday is Homeless Memorial Day. More that 3,000 people died this year without a home to call their own. Thank you so much for taking time to include the homeless in your work.

Hi Shirley! Glad to find fellow literacy advocates! In honor of International Literacy Day, I hope you will consider writing a post about my Books For Cameroon project that will bring 30 bilingual libraries to West Africa and/or make a small ($5) contribution to make the project a reality!
